New Version of Jamango mobile social network

Published Apr 30, 2007

i-Free and HeroCraft, designer of games and applications for mobile phones, announce the release of a new J2ME-version of Jamango social network.

At the present time, Jamango social network is the most complex of all existing services of this type. It was released in November 2004, and in two and a half years the number of Jamango users has reached 3 million. Currently, the service is available in Russia, the Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Jamango is based entirely on WAP technology and has, as alternative entry points, a fully-functional SMS interface and Java application. Such a model gives extra scope to subscribers, allowing them to select the most convenient mode of access to the service.

The new Java application version allows GSM users to utilise the entire broad potential of this service: this version has a graphic interface, compatible with mobile phones, and also makes it possible to download animation, music and photographic images.

The application created by HeroCraft for Jamango service is unique. It is based on the most innovative technological solutions and provides users with access to a wide variety of mobile services - chat, forums, dating, interactive games, downloading pictures and melodies, horoscopes, fortune telling, jokes, informational services, photo galleries, blogs, etc.

The distinctive features of the Java application designed by HeroCraft are its graphic interface, ease of control, extensive hardware support and total interaction.

"We believe that such a format of service will contribute to Jamango becoming even more popular. Anyone connecting to Jamango will feel like they are inhabiting a dazzling world and not simply participating in a fascinating game. They will also be able to make new friends, find interesting people to talk to and have the most exciting adventures, with no difficulty whatsoever," says HeroCraft's general director, Pavel Prokonich.
